Atlas

Atlas is known for his eternal punishment of bearing the weight of the heavens on his shoulders, a burden bestowed upon him by Zeus. The sculpture captures Atlas in a moment of intense strain, his muscular form bowed under the immense spherical weight that symbolizes the world.

The muscles on the opposite side of every bent limb are tensed, suggesting immense pressure and the will to counteract it. Atlas’s expression is one of stoic endurance, embodying the theme of resilience in the face of overwhelming burdens.

I have used this sculpture meant to inspire in challenging times. The owner may tell themself: As long as he holds on, so will I.
