Pneuma

I've always had a problem with sculpture—it can only show one moment. Pneuma, or the vital breath of the soul, was my solution to this problem. If I showed 6 figures side by side, I could show someone's transformation and finally sculpt the fourth dimension—time. This piece is my visual ode to the journey from despair to enlightenment, from tension to release. Each sculpture – Slate, Crystal, Fire, Earth, Air, and Water – represents a phase in this chosen metamorphosis, each embodying a psychological step, bringing oneself out of darkness to discover release and acceptance. The series serves as a reminder that no state of being is permanent and each moment is part of a larger story that we have the power to envision and bring into being.
